In September, we announced a partnership that we formed with SmallTownPapers, Inc., a newspaper archive company featuring small town newspapers and articles.
Today World Vital Records made 5,555,023 records available for viewing. (One record equals one paragraph in a newspaper.) The following newspapers are available for viewing at World Vital Records:

Big Timber Pioneer Big Timber, Montana
Boise City News Boise City, Oklahoma
Cuba Free Press Cuba, Missouri

Each newspaper search result includes the newspaper page, day, month, year, city, county, state, and content. Users will be able to see high quality, completely searchable digital images of the newspaper articles, which appear on the pages just as the newspapers were printed. World Vital Records has also added a feature allowing the user to zoom in and zoom out to view the newspaper page, as well as the option to see the full image.
These newspapers can be accessed in one of two ways:
Option 1: Go to http://www.worldvitalrecords.com. Click on What Are We Offering (located on the left, toward the bottom of the home page). Look under the Subscription Content for the SmallTownPapers category. (Note: Although this content is located in our subscription section, right now it is free to browse.) You will see a listing of the newspapers. Click on any of the newspaper to browse the archive.
Option 2: Go to http://www.worldvitalrecords.com. Type in the word that you are looking for into the Surname box and hit Search. Scroll down until you see the Newspapers category. Click on the newspaper that you would like to view. Look to the left on the Page column. Click on the page number that you wish to view.
