New Newspaper Features at World Vital Records: Share and Highlight

Posted by on

World Vital Records is launching several new features on all of its newspapers. Now users can highlight areas of text and share pages of interest with a friend from more than 45 newspapers!

Here’s how it works:

Go to http://www.worldvitalrecords.com. Click on List of Databases (located on the left, toward the middle of the home page). Look under the Subscription Content for the SmallTownPapers newspapers archive. (Note: Although this content is located in our subscription section, right now it is free to browse.)

You will see a listing of the newspapers. Click on any of the newspapers to browse the archive. Once you are at the newspaper you want to view, you will see the new highlight and share features near the top of the page.

To Highlight:

Press the Highlight button. Move the cursor to the beginning of the region you wish to highlight. Click the mouse button to begin highlighting. When you have highlighted the desired region, click the mouse button again to end highlighting. You can highlight multiple regions. To save your highlighting, you must share it.

To Share:

Email the page you are viewing to a friend. When you click on the Share button, it will create an email with a link to the page you are viewing. You can then email this to your friends or save it for your personal records.
