Genealogists spend hours of serious research at the Genealogy Center, a remarkable family history destination
This past weekend, many FGS participants took the opportunity to visit the Genealogy Center housed at the Allen County Public Library.
The Genealogy Center has a collection of 350,000 printed volumes and more than 513,000 items of microfilm and microfiche. Plus, the Genealogy Center houses the largest English-language genealogy and local history periodical collections in the world, with more than 10,000 titles.
Employees from WorldVitalRecords.com spoke with librarians Linda Skow White from Thornton, Indiana and Sandy Isenhour from Lebanon, Indiana.

They expressed their excitement for the resources at the library and said that “The Allen County Public Library just does it all. Anything Kurt Witcher (head of the genealogy library) is involved with is going to be great”
